The fifth season of the loyalty programme, Thai Golf Pass, was launched via a virtual platform on Tuesday with hopes that Thailand would be open to visitors in the near future.

In Season 5 of Thai Golf Pass, activities are expected to commence from January 2022 with on-ground promotions all across India and four golf tournaments in Thailand.

To promote the experience, SLW, a leading golf management company, launched the first-ever loyalty programme for a country in 2017.

‘Thai Golf Passport was conceptualised to offer Indian golfers a seamless experience in Thailand. They can be a part of this reward programme whenever they tee off in Thailand’ said SLW managing director Anil Dev.

More than 250 quality service providers like Callaway and a number of golf courses, resorts and hotels are now on board as partners.

“While the travel business took a hit due to Covid19, we are gearing up to make Thailand the destination of choice when travel resumes,” he added.

Favoured destination

Vachirachai Sirisumpan, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand’s New Delhi Office said,Golf is one of the important segments which we focus on and continue to promote Thailand as a favoured destination for Indian golfers.

“In fact, destination diversity and the vast choice of golf courses throughout the country are key factors attracting the large numbers of visitors coming to play golf in Thailand.

“I am happy to work closely with SLW to launch “Thai Golf Pass” – Season 5 and would be more excited to see all golfers joining the programme.

“I would like to take this opportunity and look forward to welcoming all Indian golfers to have the first tee-off in Amazing Thailand once the situation improves.

Thailand offers something for everyone in terms of interest, age and budget. Course venues range from pristine sandy beaches to lush jungles, bustling busy cities to traditional villages.

As far as golf is concerned, 250-plus ideally located courses can be found throughout the country, by the sea, the mountains, lakes, inside cities and even besides airports.

Quality courses, reasonable green fees and friendly caddies help complete the experience, SLW and TAT said in a statement. They include destinations like Phuket in the south to the mountainous surroundings in the north or the bustling cities of Bangkok and Pattaya.
