Seher Atwal capped her wire-to-wire run with a thumping 11-shot win in the 14th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Tour at the Delhi Golf Club on Friday.

It would have come as a big boost ahead next month’s Ladies European Tour-sanctioned Hero Women’s Indian Open for the DGC golfer, who won early in the season and then went off the boil.

Seher thereafter finished second in the fourth leg, but her form since has been below her own expectations, the WGAI said.

Rounds at the DGC of 68, 71 and 72 set up a total of 5-under 211 that was 11 shots clear of a three-way tie for second place between Ridhima Dilawari (78-72-72), Asmitha Sathish (73-72-77) and Sneha Singh (71-73-78).

Seher, who led from the first round had a roller-coaster final round.

She birdied the second and eighth holes but had back-to-back bogeys in between. On the back nine, Seher bogeyed holes 10 and 15, but had an eagle on the par-5 14th to total an even par 72 and complete a start-to-finish title run.

Fifth repeat winner

Seher became the fifth player to win twice this season after Sneha Singh, Gaurika Bishnoi, Neha Tripathi and Tvesa Malik.

Ridhima also had an up-and-down round with a bogey on six, and birdies on seven and eight. She dropped a double on 10 and a bogey on 16, but closed birdie-birdie.

Asmitha missed a chance to be sole second as she closed with a double bogey. She had three other bogeys and no birdies in her round of 77.

Order of Merit leader Sneha Singh had a disappointing round with two birdies, four bogeys and two doubles in a round of 6-over 78.

Jasmine Shekar (76-75-72) and Kriti Chowhan (74-73-76) were tied for fifth, while Tvesa Malik (75-77-72) was sole seventh.

Lavanya Gupta was the top amateur with (78-73-74) was eighth and Khushi Khanijau (75-79-72) was ninth. Durga Nittur, Jyotsana Singh and Agrima Manral were tied 10th.

Sneha, however, continues to lead the Order of Merit, while Seher moves to second place. Neha Tripathi, Tvesa and Khushi Khanijau occupy the next three places.
