Europe race to record-equalling lead on Ryder Cup opening day

After a 4-0 sweep in the opening morning session of the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, hosts Europe fought back brilliantly to draw three and win the fourth of the afternoon matches against defending champions, the United States for a record-equalling five-point lead.
