Clover Greens in Hosur to host ninth leg of Hero women’s pro tour

Hitaashee Bakshi makes a return in leg nine of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour at the Clover Greens in Hosur, hoping to find the form that made her one its stars.

Hitaashee, who has been finding the going tough on the Ladies European Tour, will lock horns with the likes of Vani Kapoor, Ridhima Dilawari and Amandeep Drall, the WGAI said.

She will also get to play with the younger lot that includes Anvitha Narender, Mannat Brar, Riya and Lavanya Jadon and amateur Mahreen Bhatia.

This is Hitaashee’s first start on the domestic circuit this season, as she has been playing on the Ladies European Tour.

The field this week, as has been the norm of late, is 58 strong including 10 amateurs, and the purse for the Clover Greens event in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, is Rs.17 lakh.

With competition getting tighter, even top stars like Vani, Ridhima or Hitaashee can afford to take it easy with the younger lot pushing and often beating them.

Of the eight events held so far, Ridhima has three wins, while Jasmine Shekar, Tvesa Malik, amateur Lavanya Gupta, Anvitha Narender and Mannat Brar have won once each.

Ridhima also leads the current Hero Order of Merit with Jasmine and Amandeep in second and third place.
