Vani Kapoor handed in a second successive sub-par card to stay in the upper reaches of the Aramco Team Series – Jeddah’s individual competition on Friday.

The best-placed Indian at the $500,000 Ladies European Tour event was tied for 13th place alongside four others on a five-under total (69-70) at the 54-hole event.

All four Indians in the field made the 36-hole cut.

Diksha Dagar was tied 35th on one-under 143 (71-72), Amandeep Drall made a smart recovery and climbed to tied 50th on level par 144 and Tvesa Malik made it on the bubble despite a closing double-bogey.

A playoff will be needed to decide the team event with two groups finishing tied at the top on 29-under par including one led by 2019 Hero Women’s Indian Open winner Christine Wolf of Austria.

The playoff will be held after the end of the individual competition on Saturday afternoon at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.

Christine Wolf, Laura Beveridge, Alexandra Swayne, and amateur Raghdah Alessawi set the early pace, adding a 16-under score to the first day’s 13-under.
