Sneha keen on carrying Clover Greens momentum to Golfshire

Fresh from a long-awaited and hard-fought win at Clover Greens last week, Sneha Singh will be hoping to carry that form into the Prestige Golfshire leg of the Hero WPGT from Wednesday.

The Hyderabad golfer once again faces a strong field in the 12^th leg of the tour at the scenic course situated in the foothills of the Nandi Hills near Bangalore, the WGAI said.

Sneha’s chief rivals this week include Vani Kapoor, who lost in a play-off last week, Vidhatri Urs, Order of Merit leader Ridhima Dilawari, Amandeep Drall,, Durga Nittur, Heena Kang, Mannat Brar, Anvitha Narender and Jasmine Shekar and others.

Also back this week is Saanvi Somu, who has been gaining experience on the Ladies Access Tour in Europe.

Retaining form

Sneha’s big ask will be to maintain consistency and ensure that her return to form is part of a bigger build-up for the remainder of the season.

The field of 52 players has eight amateurs including young Ayesha Gupta, who gave a good account of herself at Clover Greens. 

Almost all top stars who are regulars on the domestic tour will be in action, barring Tvesa Malik.

The prize purse once again is Rs.17 lakh with the cut applied after two rounds.

Hero Order of Merit leader Ridhima, who has won three times this season is the only multiple winner. 

She is followed by Jasmine, Vani, former Hero Women’s Indian Open runner-up Amandeep Drall and Vidhatri on the Money List. Of the top five, only Amandeep is yet to taste victory this season.
