It was sibling rivalry at its healthiest at the DGC Ladies Open Amateur Golf Championship with Riya Jadon pipping elder sister Lavanya to the big prize.

The 11th edition of the event, presented by Usha, saw over a hundred lady golfers take part in the tournament held at the Delhi Golf Club after a two-year break.

At the business end, it was 13-year-old Riya (78-80-74) who prevailed over Lavamya (76-79-79) 232 to 234 in a closely-contested final.

Riya made it a title double with the junior girls crown as well.

Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony, Anju Munjal, Vice President, Usha International said“Usha is proud to have supported golf platforms that have paved the way for juniors and amateurs as champions in the making.

“Today, many are now professional lady golfers, and we are delighted that some of them are here with us today”
