Yuvraj Sandhu, Gandas share Gujarat Open second round lead

Season-opening winner Yuvraj Sandhuand overnight leader Manu Gandas held a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Rs 1 crore Glade One presents Gujarat Open in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Chandigarh’s Sandhu (32-34) and Gurgaon’s Gandas (31-35), a former Glade One winner led with 6 under par 66 totals with Saptak Talwar (34-34) of Greater Noida third on 4 under 68, the PGTI said.

Defending champion Abhinav Lohan (36) and Ahmedabad’s Varun Parikh (34) shared tenth place on 2 under 70.

The first two rounds of the event consisted of nine holes each. After 18 holes were completed on Wednesday, the cut was applied at level par 72 with 53 professionals making the grade.

The third and fourth rounds will now consist of 18 holes each, the tournament played over 54 holes.

Sandhu produced two birdies on day two to rise one place into the joint lead while Gandas had two birdies and one dropped shot on Wednesday.

Indusind Bank tie-up
