Vani Kapoor and Diksha Dagar ensured they would finish inside the top 10 at the Amundi German Masters near Hamburg on Sunday.
Vani, playing in her third Ladies European Tour. event of the season, was tied for sixth places with Diksha two spots behind her as Singapore’s Shannon Tan won for the second time on the tour.
Rookie Avani Prashanth took a share of 26th place.
Vani (72-70-76-71, 289) rallied from a disappointing third round to manage Sunday’s windy conditions on the North Course of the Green Eagle Golf Courses as she finished on 3 under par for the week.
It was her first top 10 placing since October of 2022, when she finished tied for eighth at the Hero Women’s Indian Open.
Behind the four-time winner on the domestic tour this year was LET regular Dagar (69-73-74-74, 290), who brought in her fifth top 10 finish of the season and a return to the upper echelons of the Order of Merit (10th).
Prashanth (73-74-74-73), the third Indian to make the cut this week, finished tied for 26th on 2 over 294.
Tense finish
At the top, Tan sank a crucial par putt on the last hole on a tense final day to beat home favourite Helen Briem by one stroke.
The Singaporean, who won on her LET debut last year, stuttered midway through her round to throw open the tournament though she did manage to steady the ship well towards the end.
“It means a lot to win, especially after being in contention the past few weeks and not being able to close out in the last round,” Tan told the LET website. “It definitely hurt before, but to get the victory this week means a lot to me.”
New Zealand rookie Amelia Garvey carded a 1 under 72 to end the week in third place on 7 under 281 for her third top 10 in four weeks and equalled her best of third place at the Hulencourt Women’s Open.
South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace and Ireland’s Anna Foster shared fourth place on 4 under 284 while Czechia’s Tereza Melecka finished alongside Vani.
