ULD to bring long drive championship format to India with TTV

Ultimate Long Drive, the world’s largest long drive golf organisation and Bangalore-based TeeTime Ventures will bring long drive competitions to India.

TTV is a leading provider of indoor and outdoor golfing, and will leverage ULD’s USA League and Championship Series format to launch and expand long drive golf competitions across India, a statement from the company has said.

This partnership marks a milestone in ULD’s global expansion and will add India to an existing list of countries including Canada, Japan, Europe, Mexico, South Africa, and Zimbabwe that host such competitions. 

In exiatence since 2017 (originally as Amateur Long DriveTM), ULD has grown to host competitions across professional, amateur, valor, and adaptive divisions, crowning champions in categories ranging from youth (7U) to seniors (85+). 

Its North American Tour and international events have engaged thousands of participants annually, emphasising both inclusivity and high-level competition, the statement said.

TTV has over 80 installations of indoor golf and multi-sport facilities across India and Sri Lanka, including its own studios like Golfer’s Edge Bangalore and Golfer’s Edge Chennai.

Wider ecosystem

It is now poised to integrate ULD’s long drive format into the TTV ecosystem, creating avenues for golf enthusiasts, corporate events, and community-based tournaments.

ULD CEO Jeff Gilder said he was looking forward to the India venture, which he called a market with “immense potential”.
