Top stars ready for battle at Wishtown leg of Hero WPG Tour

Ridhima Dilawari, Tvesa Malik and Jasmine Shekar, who have won four of the five events this season headline the field at the Jaypee Wishtown leg of the Hero WPGT from Wednesday

In all, 53 players have entered for the Rs.17 lakh event in Noida, the WGAI said.

While Jasmine won the season-opener, Ridhima won the second and fourth events and Tvesa Malik topped in the third leg.

The field also includes contenders like former Hero Indian Open runner-up Amandeep Drall, Anvitha Narender, Seher Atwal, Neha Tripathi, Heena Kang, Jahanvi Bakshi, Vidhatri Urs and Saanvi Somu.

The event at Jaypee Wishtown will also see seven amateurs in the field. The presence of amateurs has become significant as they have regularly been in contention in recent years. 

In fact the fifth leg last week in Gurgaon was won by All India Ladies winner  Lavanya Gupta, who is not playing this week. 

However, the field includes defending champion Mahreen Bhatia, who is also an amateur and won the closing leg of the 2025 season at the same venue.

Besides Mahreen, other amateurs to watch out for are Ceerat Kang, whose sister Heena is a pro, Shambhavi Chaturvedi, Anuradha Chaudhuri, Aradhana Manikandan, Alysha Dutt and the talented Guntas Kaur Sandhu.
