Golfers are always looking for new places to enjoy their sport. So we thought we’d put together this post describing some of the most delightful destinations to enjoy a round of 18 around the world.

Check them out below.

The Wilds Of Scotland

Famous for the golf course Donald Trump owns, the wilds of Scotland are one of the most iconic and alluring places in the world to play golf. Nowhere is the landscape more rugged or the weather conditions less forgiving. Playing a round of golf here feels like taking an ice bath with Wim Hof – it’s invigorating stuff.

Coastal Cyprus

Cyprus is one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful islands. Not only is it quite sizeable, but it also provides incredible views of the sea in all directions. And that makes it an ideal location for golf courses.

When it comes to staying in Cyprus, you have plenty of options. The Aphrodite Hotel is one of the biggest attractions, thanks to its gardens and jacuzzis, but there are many others.

When on the island, be sure to visit the enigmatic Tomb of Kings at the archaeological park.

Smoky Mountains Of North Carolina

The Great Smoky Mountains national park is perhaps the most beautiful place in the US. It offers an abundance of animal life, forested areas, hills, and beautiful valleys.

At the center of it all sits the Laurel Ridge Country Club – a venue that offers a range of golf courses and facilities. Spending time in this part of the country reminds golfers of their roots and helps reconnect with nature while also enjoying some of life’s luxuries.

Lisbon Coast, Portugal

Lisbon is perhaps Europe’s most beautiful capital city. Unlike London or Berlin, it’s not an industrial monstrosity. Instead, thanks to its relatively small size, it manages to retain its charm and character.

It’s also a great place for playing golf. All around the city, there are courses, many of them, such as the Aldeia dos Capuchos, featuring sea views.

The grass can sometimes get a little brown because of the heat during the summer. But that just adds to the golfers’ experience.

The Cape, South Africa

No golf world tour would be complete without a visit to South Africa’s iconic Cape areas. These feature a selection of golf courses, backed by stunning scenery and surrounded by beautiful vineyards.

Cape Town is the biggest city in the area for several hundred miles. But it doesn’t intrude on the natural landscape. Once you get out of the streets, you’re into wild South Africa. And the world is essentially your oyster.

Basque Region, France

Feeling like basking in the beautiful summer heat while you do a round of golf? Then why not check out the Basque region of southern France.

This area plays host to the Golf de Chantaco course which is near St. Jean de Luz, a small fishing village. The course itself features both coastal and woodland sections, which adds to the golfers’ interest.

Nearby, there are beautiful architectural sites and a marine museum with more than 1,000 exhibits.
