Sneha, Vidhatri, Amandeep are well-placed in LET Qualifier race

Four out of an 11-strong Indian contingent are well placed in the hunt for Final Qualifier berths at the Lalla Aicha Qualifying School series for the Ladies European Tour.

Sneha Singh, Vidhatri Urs, Amandeep Drall and Avani Prashanth, playing across four Pre-Qualifying venues across Morocco, were within the top 23 or 24 placings needed to enter the final event to be held from December 16 to 26 at the Royal Golf and Al Maaden courses in Marrakech.

Ridhima Dilawari and Nayanika Sanga were also battling close to the cut line in the final rounds currently in progress around Morocco.

Hyderabad’s Sneha Singh, winner of the domestic Hero Women’s Order of Merit in 2023, was second at the par-73 Noria Golf Club in Marrakech with rounds of 69-73 behind leader, Annika Borrelli of South Africa (69-70) by three shots.

Ridhima (79-77) was T35, as the top 23 and ties advance to the Final qualifier. Jasmine Shekar (77-88) was T55 and Oviya Reddi (80-88) T58.

On the move

Also strongly placed was Vidhatri Urs (68-77), who was tied for the lead after the first round but conceded ground in the second and still stay in contention at Samanah while Neha Tripathi (80-80) was tied for 55th place.

At the Rotana Golf Club, Amandeep Drall (71-73) was level par while Avani Prashanth (73-72) at 1-over T-14 were in contention as the top 23 and ties move up.  Nayanika Sanga (77-74) was T-38.

At Palm Ourika, Shweta Mansingh (73-80) shared 40th place and Durga Nittur (73-82) T48.

England’s Rosie Belsham led at Samanah with Finland’s Elina Nummenpaa and French amateur Vanessa Bouvet on top at Rotana. Darcey Harry of Wales led at Palm Golf Ourika.

Order of Merit topper in 2024 Hitaashee Bakshi Vani Kapoor are direct entries to the Final Stage in Marrakech.
