Eleventh leg winner Sneha Singh returns for a crack at a second straight title in the 12th event of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour calendar at Hyderabad’s Boulder Hills course from Wednesday.

The 15-year-old amateur will once again be up against senior and more established players in the Rs. 7 lakh event that will be played on what is home ground for her.

The Hyderabad teen is a regular at Boulder Hills, which look in ideal condition for the three-day tournament.

Fellow-amateur Shreya Pal, who finished fifth last week, is also back in the field.

Close win

At the Hyderabad Golf Club course, Sneha emerged winner by one shot over the experienced Vani Kapoor, who divides her time between the Indian pro tour and overseas engagements.

Among the leading names from the Pro Tour, Ridhima Dilawari, a three-time winner this season leads the list, while others include Hero Order of Merit leader Gaurika Bishnoi and the second-placed Neha Tripathi.

Amandeep Drall and Gursimar Badwal are the other leading contenders in  the field in the 20-strong field which will be minus Vani Kapoor.

Last week Sneha, showing maturity way beyond her 15 years, beat a strong field to join a select band of amateurs to have won a pro event. That group of names includes Aditi Ashok, DIksha Dagar, Tvesa Malik and Ridhima Dilawari.

Long list

Pranavi Urs, Gurbani Singh, Raksha Phadke and  Mehar Atwal have also won titles on Hero WPG Tour as amateurs.

As the second half of the season progresses, regulars like Amandeep Drall and Gursimar Badwal, who have often dominated the local tour will be looking to add to their lone titles so far despite being repeat winners in the past.

So far this season six players have won the 11 events held so far, with Ridhima (3), Gaurika (2) and Tvesa (2) being multiple winners.
