Seher leads by two into final day of Hero WPGT season

Pune leg winner Seher Atwal stayed ahead of the field despite a closing bogey in round two of the 15th and final leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club on Thursday.

Seher, who took a one-shot lead into the second day doubled that with a card of 75, the same as the first day.

Seher was two clear of Shweta Mansingh, who is looking for her maiden win on the Hero WPGT.

LET Q-School update

Meanwhile, at the final stage of the LET Q-School in La Manga, Spain, Amandeep Drall led the Indian contingent in tied 34^th place in the ongoing first round.

Amandeep was 2-over after 15 holes, Gaurika Bishnoi was 3-over and back in the clubhouse in shared 50^th place.

Vani Kapoor was T71 on 4-over after 13 holes and Jahanvi Bakshi had finished day one on 5-over for tied 83^rd place.

In Kolkata, Shweta, who was way behind with 80 on the first day, shot a level par 72 for the day’s best card.

At 152 she was sole second, and amateur Smriti Bhargava (78-75) third.

Lakhmehar Pardesi was lying fourth, while Khushi Khanijau (74), Jyotsana Singh (78), Saaniya Sharma (77) and amateur Agrima Manral (79) were tied for fifth.

Seher, who is hoping to close 2021 with a second win, had three birdies against six bogeys, while Shweta, who was 3-over after 12 holes had three late birdies to close the gap.

Amateur Smriti Bhargav had five bogeys against two birdies in her 75.

Ridhima Dilawari, winner last week, struggled to 9-over 81 with 10 bogeys and a birdie. She had six bogeys in a row across the turn.
