Yuvraj Sandhu kept the bogeys off his card for a second day running to maintain his one-shot lead at the Rs 1 crore Mysuru Open on Wednesday.
The Chandigarh golfer shot a second round 5 under par 65, to stay ahead of Dhaka’s Jamal Hossain at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club, the PGTI said.
Order of Merit leader Sandhu (61-65) now totals 14-under 126 against Hossain (62-65) also went error-free for the second day in a row to stay in second place on 13 under 127.
In-form Delhi golfer Arjun Prasad handed in the day’s joint lowest card of 62 to move into tied third along with Gurgaon’s Manu Gandas (63) on 12 under 128.

Noida-based Rashid Khan equalled Prasad’s 62 to gain 27 place on the leaderboard and be tied for fifth along with Viraj Madappa (63), Pranav Mardikar (63) and Honey Baisoya (66) on 11 under 129.
P. Prabhu (68-66) of Myoure was the best-placed of the local professionals in tied 28th place at 6 under 134.
The 36-hole cut fell at 3 under 137 with 62 professionals going through as overcast conditions continued for a second consecutive day with the wind also coming into play.
Steady progress
Sandhu made steady progress on the day despite the conditions. Winner of the season’s first two events, he birdied all three Par-5 holes on the course as he struck his irons and wedges to perfection.
The 28-year-old, an international winner, said later, “I’ve played in tough windy conditions in Asia several times so today I was able to use all that experience to good effect in a similar setting.
“I was quite relaxed and I felt it was just a continuation from where I left yesterday.
“The putter was not hot today but my chipping from around the green stood out. A good par save from six feet on the fifth hole gave me some momentum towards the end of the round.”
Hossain lost his driving form on day two but played some immaculate chip shots including one for birdie on hole 13 to put together a 65 and stay in touch with the leader.
