With a runner-up finish at Mumbai behind her, Ridhima Dilawari played steady golf to take a one-shot lead into day two of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour event at Ahmedabad’s Kalhaar Blues & Greens on Wednesday.

Ridhima had back-to-back birdies twice – on holes seven and the eight and then on 14 and 15 against bogeys on five and 10 to close with a 2 under par 70, the WGAI said.

Keen to make amends after an ordinary start to the season at the opening BOGC leg, Sneha Singh fired a bogey free round with one birdie for a 1 under 71 for second place.

Amandeep Drall and amateur Zara Anand shared third place on level par 72s.

Hero Order of Merit 2025 winner Vani Kapoor, Jahanvi Bakshi, Nayanika Sanga, amateur Mahreen Bhatia, Karishma Govind and rookie pro Saanvi Somu were tied for fifth on 1 over 73.

Ridhima, who plans to focus on domestic events this year, opened with four pars before dropping a shot on the Par-5 fifth.

She recovered with birdies on seven and eight but another bogey and two further gains ensured an under-par round and the lead.

Clean sheet

Sneha, who won twice in 2025, parred 15 holes in a row before finding a birdie on the Par-3 16th before ending with two more pars.

Amandeep had two birdies against a double bogey, while Zara made a bogey start and had another on 17 but also had two birdies on her card.

Nayanika had five birdies against four bogeys, three of which came in the first four holes, besides a triple on the Par-3 seventh.

Vani made a bogey-bogey start but two birdies repaired the damage before dropped another shot on the Par-5 14th.

Last week’s winner Jasmine Shekar had a disappointing 7 over 79 with four bogeys, two doubles and just one birdie on the closing hole.
