Ridhima climbs into joint lead with Jasmine at Golden Greens

Ridhima Dilawari improved on her overnight placing to join Jasmine Shekar in the lead at the 13^th leg of the Hero WPGT at Golden Greens Golf Club on Thursday.

Jasmine shot a 76 and Ridhima carded 73 with one bogey to go with 17 pars, the WGAI said.

The leaders were 2 under par 142, one shot clear of Sneha Singh (73-70) and Amandeep Drall (72-71) on 1 under 143.

Amateur Anvvi Dahhiya (73-71) and Order of Merit leader, Hitaashee Bakshi (71-73) were tied for fifth at level par 144.

Looking for her first win after two runner-up finishes over the last 18 months, Jasmine had one birdie against three bogeys and a double in her 76.

Ridhima did not find the birdies but did well to limit the damage to just one on the day.

Long wait

While Jasmine is seeking to end her runs of near misses, Ridhima is winless since 2022, when she won twice.

Sneha Singh looked like making a big surge with three birdies on the front nine but dropped two shots against one final birdie on the back nine for a round of 2-under 70, which was the best of the day.

Amandeep landed one of the two eagles on the second day in her 71 which also had two birdies, one bogey and a double. Hitaashee had one birdie against two bogeys as she missed quite a few chances.

Gaurika Bishnoi, who had an eagle against four bogeys in her 74 was seventh on 1 over 145, while Shagun Narain (76-71) was eighth with a 147.

Vidhatri Urs (71-77), Khushi Khanijau (73-75) and Kriti Chowhan (77-71) were tied for ninth on 4 over 148.

The cut fell at 155 with 28 from a field of 41 making it to the final round.
