Milind Soni, Sneha Sharan win Eagleton Champions titles

Hyderabad lad Milind Soni record a comfortable victory in both the Amateur and Teen A Boys events of the RBG Eagleton Champions Golf Tournament that concluded in Bangalore on Thursday.

The Hyderabad youngster added a 2-under 70 to his overnight total for a tournament tally of 3-under 213 that gave him an eight-shot victory over second placed Akshay Neranjen in the Amateur Category.

In the Teen A Boys event, the 15-year-old Milind emerged on top by a handsome nine shots over Shaurya Binu even as Aryaman Mohan brought in the tournament’s best card of 5-under 67 on the final day.

Comfortable margin

Sneha Sharan was a 7-shot victor over Avani Prashanth to take home the Teen A Girls and Amateur titles despite a final day card of 1-over 73,

Sneha finished with a total of 1-over 217. Saanvi Somu captured the Teen Girls (12-14 years) title registering a solitary shot victory over Tanishka Prithvi.

Jashan, son of former India professional Rahul Ganapathy won the Boys D Category title.

On day two, Milind fired a 3-under 69 in cool and wet conditions to climb atop the leaderboard.

The Hyderabad youngster was 1-under 143 at that point and four shots clear of the second placed Shaurya, who played an equally good round of 2-under par 70 in the trying conditions.

Milind’s round included four birdies and an eagle against three bogeys.

Sneha who brought in a 1-under par 71 on the second day, took the sole lead in the Teen Girls and Amateur Category.

Sneha, on level-par 144, led overnight joint leader Vidhatri Urs by five shots.
