Jasmine Shekar leads at Wishtown despite brace of late bogeys

Jasmine Shekar returned a solid 3 under par 68 despite a late blip to hold a three-shot lead with one round to go in the sixth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Jaypee Wishtown in Noida on Thursday.

Jasmine, who won the first leg of the season, had a level par 71 to open and on day two, she carded six birdies against three bogeys to total 3 under 139, the WGAI said.

Ridhima Dilawari, the only multiple winner this season, had another steady round with one birdie and one bogey on the front nine and pars on her last 10 holes to hold second place.

The experienced duo of Neha Tripathi (73-70) and Amandeep Drall (72-72) were third and fourth. Neha at 1-over 143 and Amandeep on 2 over 144.

Seven players shared fifth place on 3 over 145 including Anvitha Narender (75-70), Saanvi Somu (72-73), Shweta Mansingh (69-76) and first round leader Khushi Khanijau (68-77).

Amateurs Anuradha Chaudhuri (72-73), Aradhana Manikandan (72-73) and Alysha Dutt (71-74) were also in the group at T5.

Further behind was Tvesa Malik (73-76) in tied 17^th and Vidhatri Urs (72-79) at tied 23^rd.

The cut fell at 153 and 34 players of the 53 who started out, are playing Friday’s final round.

Among those who missed the cut were Seher Atwal and Jahanvi Bakshi.
