As per information available, following a practice round on February 7, Pre-Qualifier 2 will be held over the next two days.
That will be followed by Pre Qualifying 3 on February 11 and 12, with the final stage to be played over four rounds from February 15 to 18.
Each stage will be preceded by a practice day.
Twenty-six golfers led by Manav Bais and amateur Aksjay Neranjen qualified from a 101-strong Pre-Qualifying 1 field at the Kalhaar course earlier this month.
The Q School, is a key component of the PGTI calendar as it is the only route for players to qualify to play on the regular tour in a particular season.
The tournament determines the criteria for players for the whole season.
Large field
This year’s Q School saw a total of 338 entries including 259 professionals and 79 amateurs.
The Q School also heralds the infusion of fresh talent each year, as besides the established professionals, leading amateur and junior golfers from India and overseas compete hoping to qualify for the PGTI.
A specified number of players will make it to the Final Stage, with 90 in the fray for Pre Qualifying II and 99 for Pre Qualifying III.
Qualifiers from the three First Stage events will join the 48 exempt players in the Final Stage which will feature a field of 120 players.
The top 80 and ties will make the halfway cut after two rounds of the Final Stage.
At the end of the Final Stage, the top 40 players will earn their full cards for the 2022 PGTI season. The Final Stage offers a total prize purse of Rs. 5 lakh.
Twenty-year-old Gurgaon-based professional Bais (74-68) and Bangalore amateur Neranjen shared top spot among the 26 going through from Pre Qualifying 1.
