Home advantage for Vani Kapoor at sixth leg of Hero WPGT

Vani Kapoor is in line for a hat-trick of titles when she tees it up at her home course, the DLF Golf and Country Club for the sixth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, on Tuesday.

The successful domestic star, who won the fourth and fifth legs of the Tour, is also in chase of Order of Merit leader Sneha Singh, who has also won twice this season, the WGAI said.

Besides the two wins, Vani also has two runner-up finishes behind Shena iso far in 2025.

The Rs 16 lakh sixth leg will feature 40 players including leading stars like Vani, Sneha, Amandeep Drall, Jasmine Shekar, Ridhima Dilawari, Gaurika Bishnoi and Neha Tripathi.

The DLF Golf and Country Club has been the home of Indian women’s golf and also hosts the annual Hero Women’s Indian Open in the latter half of the year.

This year Vani has been using the domestic tour to prepare for the Ladies European Tour which she plans to play later in the year.

Also looking at international starts are Sneha, Amandeep and Ridhima, while 2024 merit topper Hitaashee Bakshi will be playing the Blue Canyon Championship in Phuket, Thailand, from March 13 to 16.
