Gaurika Bishnoi reprised her 2019 performance at Clover Greens with a comprehensive five-shot victory in the eighth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in Hosur on Friday.

Trailing by a shot overnight, Gaurika returned a 4 under 68 on the final day to total 10 under 206 with amateur Keerthana Rajeev taking a merited second place.

Keerthana (71-71-70) opened with a double bogey but reeled off four birdies over her last seven holes, to tally a 2 under 70, her third straight sub-par round of the week to total 5 under 211.

Overnight leader Seher Atwal struggled to a 4 over 76 that included a double bogey and four bogeys but her 3 under 213 was good enough for third place after carding 69 and 68 on the first two days.

Hitaashee Bakshi (73) was fourth, while Kriti Chowhan (76) and Sneha Singh tying for fifth. The former was in the running for a runner-up finish but three straight bogeys on the back nine pushed her down.

Repeat feat

It was the season’s second win for Gaurika, who had earlier won the sixth leg and finished second in the seventh leg making her the second after Sneha Singh to win more than once in 2023.

She picked up a winner’s cheque of Rs.1,48,000 presented by Clover Greens director Austin Roach.

Amateurs Ayushi Dutta (71) and Anvitha Narender (72) were alongside Rishika Muralidhar (71) in a tie for seventh place while the struggling Tvesa Malik shot a 74 to follow 76 and 72 on the first two days and ended T13 at 6-over.
