There are three months to go before LIV Golf 2026 tees off begins but the league is keeping a high tempo in terms of announcements and signings ahead of Season Four.
On Wednesday, Victor Perez was named to the Cleeks Golf Club line-up alongside Germany’s two-time major winning captain Martin Kaymer, England’s Richard Bland and the Polish Prince, Adrian Meronk.
Cleeks are one of the 13 teams that comprise LIV Golf and the induction of three-time DP World Tour winner Perez makes him the first from France to join the league.
A natural fit for the team’s competitive ambitions, Perez adds talent and experience to the club’s 2026 roster, LIV Golf said in a statement.
The 33-year-old will make his debut in the season opener at LIV Golf Riyadh presented by Roshn.
After turning professional in 2015, Perez has made a reputation on the big stage with victories that include the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the 2022 Dutch Open, and the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
He also represented France at the Paris Olympics in 2024 while off the course, the Frenchman is known for his personality, style, and modern approach to the game.
Pushing boundaries
“Joining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf’s next great chapter, as they continue to push boundaries, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez was quoted as saying.
“The sport’s growth has been incredible, and LIV Golf’s innovation and energy are driving it forward. I’m excited to be part of that momentum and can’t wait to get started in Riyadh.”
A founding team of LIV Golf, Cleeks began 2025 well with Meronk winning the opening event in Riyadh. With Perez now among the ranks, the team has higher ambitions for the 2026 season.
“There’s been tremendous interest in joining Cleeks GC, and we’re thrilled to welcome Victor as the final piece of our roster,” said Kaymer.
“With LIV Golf driving innovation in the game, we’re focused on building not just a stronger team but also contributing to building the next generation of global golf stars.
“Victor embodies the precision and passion that will help us forge that path.”
“Victor is a world-class player who embodies everything Cleeks Golf Club stands for,” said Cleeks general manager Jonas Martensson.
“He has the talent, the mindset, and the style to elevate our team both on the course and beyond it. We’re delighted to welcome him into the Cleeks family.”
