The Professional Golf Tour of India on Friday announced a multi-year partnership with global logistics giant DP World, making it the Tour’s title and official umbrella partner.
The partnership is a defining milestone for the Tour, strengthening its growth trajectory and global integration, a PGTI statement said.
The agreement was inked by Rizwan Soomar, DP World’s CEO and MD MENA and India sub-continent and Tour CEO Amandeep Johl.
DP World will collaborate with the PGTI to enhance its infrastructure and long-term sustainability, create global pathways for India’s leading professionals, and support grassroots and junior development programmes.
The initiative will also elevate the stature of Indian golf by positioning India as a key hub within DP World’s global golf ecosystem, the statement said.

Pivotal place
“India holds a pivotal place in DP World’s global vision and stands among our most dynamic and strategic markets,” Soomar said at the signing.

“Golf in India is experiencing strong momentum with significant untapped potential, and this collaboration allows us to play a meaningful role in accelerating its growth.

In 2025, the company launched the DP World India Championship o-sanctioned by both the DP World Tour and the PGTI and there are plans to make it a regular fixture.
