Two-time Ladies European Tour winner Diksha Dagar is among four Indians in the field for the Aramco Korea Championship that tees off at the New Korea Country Club on Friday.

The tour which resumes following a three-week break will also see Pranavi Urs, Tvesa Malik and rookie Avani Prashanth in action at the $2 million event in Seoul, the WGAI said.

Diksha has been in good form this season and will want to carry that momentum after top 10 finishes in her last two starts into the Aramco Series tournament.

The wiry left-hander’s previous two-results were shared ninth at the SA Women’s Open and tied eighth at the Joburg Open.

A T11 at the NSW Open in Australia and a season-opening second place finish at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco came earlier.

Currently fifth on the LET Order of Merit, Diksha in six starts has had three top 10s and missed just one cut.

Solid runs

Karnataka girls Pranavi and Avani, also multiple winners on their home Tour, have had solid outings so far.

In five starts, Pranavi has made four cuts and was in the top 15 twice, at the NSW Open (T14) and SA Women’s Open (T11) and she is 37th on the Order of Merit.

Avani has also made four cuts in five starts with two top 20 finishes – T16 at the Lalla Meryem Cup and T13 at the Australian Women’ Classic, and is 38th on the Merit list.

Tvesa will be hoping for better rewards in the resumed season as she has just one cut in four starts, leaving her down in 134th place.

All four want also to get into gear for the Hero Women’s Indian Open later in the year.

This is the seventh event of the 2025 schedule, featuring 104 players from 33 nations in the team and individual competitions.

Generous purse

The individual competition offers $ 1.5m in prize money with the rest of the $500,000 earmarked  for the team event where the best two gross scores from the four players on each hole will count towards their overall score.

World no. 8 Hyo Joo Kim is back on home soil and will be defending her crown after a three-shot win in 2024. Also in the field are fellow major winner Sung Hyun Park and Danielle Kang of the US, the winning captain in last year’s team event.

As many as 34 LET winners will be teeing it up in Seoul where the field has been divided into 26 teams.

One of those teams will comprise South Korean amateurs, with the other 25 fielding four professionals each.

After a cut of the top 60 following 36 holes of action, the final day will focus purely on the individual competition.
