Diksha Dagar and Vani Kapoor fought different battles but with similar results to hold a share of eighth place after the second day of the Amundi German Masters near Hamburg on Friday.
Rookie Avani Prashanth was the third from a starting group of nine Indians in the field to make the halfway cut at the Green Eagle Golf Courses.
On Friday, Diksha carded a level par 73 to drop out of the top five into a share of eighth place. She was joined by Vani who returned a 3 under par 70 to take her place inside the top 10.
Avani played a round of 1 over 74 to end the day at tied 43 with two birdies, one bogey and double.
Tvesa Malik (74-76, 4 over 150) missed the cut (149) by a shot.
The others to miss out were Sneha Singh (78-75), Amandeep Drall (78-75), Hitaashee Bakshi (79-81)( and Vidhatri Urs (93-87) while Neha Tripathi retired after the first round.
Joint leaders
Helen Briem of Germany and Elinor Sudow of Sweden were in led the field hat the 300,000 euro event.
Briem had a 3 under 70 and a combined score of 8 under par 138 rounds of 68-70, as did Sudow who also had a second round 70 to tie for the lead.
Singapore’s Shannon Tan returned a 4 under 69 to move into third place on a 36-hole score of 7 under 139.
Brief and Tan are the two highest ranked players on the Order of Merit in the tournament.
