Delhi Tigers consolidated their position atop the leaderboard of the Lloyd Delhi Golf Club League with five wins and a draw against Shiva Motocorp Land Rover.
The result took their total in the tournament powered by Vredestein Tyres to 28.5 points having earned five wins and a draw in the seven games against Shiva Motocorp Land Rover, who now have 18 points.
MMG Coca-Cola won four of their seven games against 24 Lions to take the lead in their group with a tally of 25.5 points. MMG Coca-Cola notched up 10 points while 24 Lions picked up 6.5 points on the day.
Ardee Par Excellence won five of their league matches and drew one to tally 11.5 points and leap-frog to third place in their group with 20 points.
Opponents Eagles & Birdies could manage only 4.5 points.
In the final session of the day, Baale Golf strung together 12 points courtesy of five wins and a draw against Sterling Swingers who mustered four points.
Baale Golf’s tournament tally stands at 22 points.
GIA summit next week
The Golf Industry Association will hold its first summit since 2019 at the Qutab Golf Course in Delhi on October 13 and 14 with a wide range of activities and industry interactions planned.
Over 35 exhibitors from across the spectrum of golf-related industry and services have registered for the event which will also see participation of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Top course managers, designers, agronomy and sustainability experts, and golf tourism specialists will address various sessions of the summit.
A wide range of topics from course management to best industry practices to turf maintenance including sustainable agronomy is on the two-day programme.
An awards ceremony recognising the best in the business will cap the GIA Golf Summit 2022.
