As always, the spotlight was on Tiger Woods, who faded away on the final day after promising rounds of 66 and 68 on days two and three.
On Saturday, Lahiri had just one birdie against three bogeys and said his game had gone off the boil even though he had hit 14 greens in regulation.
The par-71 18-hole course plays to 6,756 yards and combines lagoons, coconut groves and lush greenery with undulating fairways.
In the individual medal event, Rayhan Thomas, Aadil Bedi and Khitij Naveed Kaul all had an off day in tough scoring conditions.
India trailed Japan by six shots and were three clear of South Korea after the second day of the Asian Games competition in Jakarta.
India were second overall, five shots behind favourites Japan and ahead of Korea, Thailand, China and hosts Indonesia.
India have fielded a young side for the Asian Games with Hari Mohan Singh being the senior at 24 among the men.
India’s Anirban Lahiri is drawn alongside Tyrell Hatton and Brandon Harkins for the opening two days.
Lahiri went as far as the third round at the BMW Championship after just making the cut at the Dell Technologies Championship.
