Fifteen Indians will line up for the first edition of the $1.5 million International Series Singapore at the Tanah Merah Country Club next week.

Nine-time Asian Tour winner Gaganjeet Bhullar and DP World Tour regular Shubhankar Sharma will be joined by the experienced Jeev Milkh Singh, Jyoti Randhawa and Shiv Kapur at the Tampines Course from August 11 to 14.

At the International Series in London, Viraj Madappa made the grade for LIV Golf’s first Invitational Series event at the Centurion Club.

In Singapore, Madappa will have domestic stars like Ajeetesh Sandhu, Rashid Khan, Chikkarangappa S., and others for company.

Two-time Indian Open winner S.S.P, Chawrasia and Japan Tour regular Rahil Gangjee are in the field too as is amateur Yash Majumdar.

Major draw

The talking point for the Singapore event, however, will be the presence of former US Masters champion Patrick Reed, who will also play the International Series Korea the following week as well.

Over the weekend, Reed, 31, helped the 4 Aces GC side –including Dustin Johnson, Talor Gooch and Pat Perez – win the team competition at the LIV Golf Invitational Bedminster in New Jersey.

Reed finished in fifth place at Bedminster.

Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Sihwan Kim of the US, Bio Kim of Korea, Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent and Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana, off a hot run at the 150th Open in St Andrews, are in the field.

Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai and former Singapore Open champion Jazz Janewattananond, have also entered for the Asian Tour’s 11th event of the season.

The field will be contesting for a $270,000 winner’s purse and LIV Golf’s international stable will be well represented at Singapore as well.

The Asian Tour’s International Series events was unveiled earlier in the year in partnership with LIV Golf.
