Amandeep, Vani, among front-runners for DLF leg of Hero WPGT

The stakes are higher than ever before in this week’s leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour 2025 at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon.

With the Hero Women’s Indian Open upping its prize fund to half a million dollars, this 13th domestic tour event is final preparation for the national Open which will run from October 9 to 12 at the same venue.

The DLF leg of the Hero WPGT is also a marquee event with a purse of Rs. 23 lakh and has drawn a 44-strong field.

For the likes of 2022 Women’s Indian Open runner-up Amandeep Drall, standings leader Vani Kapoor, Sneha Singh, Seher Atwal, Gaurika Bishnoi and Heena Kang, this will be good prep for the LET event.

Growinng challenge

The amateur challenge which has strengthened in recent years will be represented by Mannat Brar, Zara Anand, Mahreen Bhatia and Ananyaa Sood among others. 

Gaurika, who has a fine record at the HWIO, is looking to find some rhythm ahead of the national Open.

Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs,Tvesa Malik and Avani Prashanth will skip the event as they are entered for the Lacoste Ladies French Open from September 25 to 27 at Deauville.

Hitaashee Bakshi and Ridhima Dilawari are also missing the event.
